I have been involved in Caching Since 2003 and have enjoyed it very much and most of all the Cacher's I have met along the way. I have been doing the top 50 travel bug finder's list since 2005. And also started " which has been a great site for Airzona cacher's. Now that I have been living in Florida since November last year. I am in no way competing with the other Florida caching sites which are great one's, I just want a place for Cacher's in the Tampa, St pete area or gulf coast area. To have a place for Cacher's in the area to go and get together. But this site is for its members So if you have any ideas please post or email me and if you want to be a moderator or start your own forum. or maybe a better name for the site. please let me know. Enjoy

It might be hard to get bay area cachers to get involved in a forum--there isn't even a Florida Topic on GC.com forums. Think I'll start one and see how it flies...???ahahahahahah

Your best bet to meet more of the Tampa geocachers is to attend one of the local events or go over to Polk county for one of the Trek Ten Events. Look out for the J. B. Starkey event which is an annual event and a lot of fun.

This part of Florida is often referred to as the "Suncoast." So, if you are looking for a better name for our group, I think that would be a good start. "Suncoast Geocaching Association" or "Suncoast Geocaching Club" would be my recommendations.

Oh, and by including more of the Suncoast, you might widen your cacher base enough to have a more active forum.

I wish I new how to make the forums more active. I have made some post GC & FGA forums a while back I now the FGA is also slow. I know I need help with getting this site going. When I started AZ Cachers it started slow but there were 3 cacher's that were excited about the site. That has made it a great site with pretty active forums. But I do like Suncoast Cacher's I believe that might be a way to go for a name and might even help with this site.
